Bachelor's degree applications are available in the Registrar's Office, Moot Hall 210, and online at the Registrar's web site, which includes information on degree requirements and application deadlines.
Bachelor's degree application deadlines for 2012
- May 2012 degrees: February 3. This deadline has passed. Submit degree applications immediately if not already completed.
- August 2012 degrees: February 17 if you wish to participate in the commencement ceremony and/or have your name included in the program booklet.
Note: August 2012 degree candidates may apply by June 1 if they neither wish to participate in commencement nor have their names printed in the May 12 commencement booklet.
Those who receive the bachelor's commencement informational postcard at their permanent addresses during the week of spring recess (March 19-24):
- December 2011 and January 2012 graduates.
- Potential May 2012 degree candidates who applied for their degrees by February 3.
- Potential August 2012 degree candidates who apply for their degrees by February 17.
Late Degree Applicants
Those who apply after February 3 and February 17 may obtain one bachelor's commencement informational postcard beginning March 26 from the Registrar's Office upon submitting a degree application. The Registrar's Office will date stamp the postcard to verify their receipt of the degree application.
Beginning with the Commencement Kickoff event on April 11 and continuing through May 5, late degree applicants may take the date-stamped postcard to the bookstore to register for commencement and obtain guest tickets. Learn more about the registration process.
Please note: Buffalo State makes every effort to print all eligible graduates' names in the commencement program booklet. May 2012 degree candidates who apply after the February 3 deadline and August 2012 degree candidates who apply after the February 17 early August application deadline are not guaranteed listing in the program.
