Important Dates
Commencement Kickoff
Date: Wednesday, April 11
What: One-day, one-stop source for all your graduation needs. You can you register for commencement, obtain guest tickets (up to five for bachelor's ceremonies; up to 10 for the master's/C.A.S. ceremony), purchase your cap and gown, AND, obtain job search and career information from the Career Development Center, purchase your college ring, obtain Alumni Association services and information about alumni membership benefits, meet with The Graduate School, order your commencement video, and more.
Where: Barnes & Noble at Buffalo State Bookstore
When: 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Call the bookstore (716-878-5509) with questions.
Following Commencement Kickoff
Date: Through Saturday, May 5
What: Obtain guest tickets (up to five for bachelor's ceremonies; up to 10 for the master's/C.A.S. ceremony), and purchase caps, gowns, and graduation accessories.

When: During regular store hours, Mon.-Thu., 8:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m.; Fri., 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.; Sat., 12:00-4:00 p.m. Call the bookstore (716-878-5509) with questions.
Following the Close of Ticket Distribution
Date: May 7-12
What: purchase caps, gowns, and graduation accessories. Ticket distribution will have concluded.

How to Register
- Be sure you have submitted your degree application to the appropriate office (Registrar or Graduate School) by the deadlines. If you haven't done it yet, do it TODAY!
- Print either the bachelor's ceremony registration card or the master's/C.A.S. ceremony registration card.
- Fill in the information requested.
- Find your commencement information postcard (mailed to permanent addresses of December '11 grads and May'12/Aug'12 on-time degree applicants during spring break).
- Bring your completed registration card, photo ID, and commencement postcard to the bookstore beginning April 11.
You can expect to be on the eligibility list in the bookstore beginning April 11 if you are a December graduate with no holds, or you have applied for your degree by the appropriate bachelor's deadlines or master's/C.A.S. deadlines for the semester in which you intend graduate. If you forget or lose your postcard, you may still register if you are on the eligibility list and have photo ID.
