Advancing Arts and Culture Buffalo Niagara (AAC) is an organization that seeks to collaborate with other organizations to further our vision, that the Buffalo Niagara Region is a world class destination with high quality visitor experiences provided by the region’s cultural attractions and amenities.
AAC was established in November 2005 with funding from the John R. Oishei Foundation. An Oversight Board was established to determine a feasible implementation structure and program that would address the recommendations from the Buffalo Niagara Tourism Cultural Tourism Initiative’s Strategy Report issued in January 2005. The John R. Oishei Foundation, the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and the Cameron Baird Foundation currently provide funding for AAC, which operates through a partnership with Buffalo State College and Niagara University’s College of Hospitality and Tourism.
