| Buffalo
State College received initial accreditation from the Middle States Commission
on Higher Education (http://www.msache.org)
in 1948, and the college has been successful in each subsequent reaccreditation
review. The most recently completed review of the Periodic Review Report
was in 1997, and the college is currently undergoing its decennial peer-accreditation
review.
In preparation for the current review by Middle States, an institutional self-study was completed in spring 2002. The resulting six self-study topic reports are provided on this Web site as well as the Executive Summary. Members of the Middle States Steering Committee (the Bulletin, October 4, 2001, “Middle States Accreditation Review”), produced a summary evaluation of Buffalo State and provided oversight to the Middle States review. For nearly two years the committee worked on preparatory aspects of the current review, which culminates with a site visit by an evaluation team from Middle States during the week of September 30, 2002. Additional reports and outcomes will be posted on this site as they become available.
