Message from Dean Lawrence Flood
2007-2008 is another exciting academic year for the School of Natural and Social Sciences. We have a number of new faculty members in place, and we have begun searches for additional faculty in many of our departments. The new Master's program in Forensic Science is moving to final approval and new graduate programs in Environmental and Watershed Studies and Museum Studies are also in development. We have a model of the new science building and detailed planning for that project will be completed this year. Thanks to Kim Bagley and the Science Building Advocacy Committee for their continued work on this key project.
On a personal note, I have announced my decision to retire as Dean of the School, effective August 31, 2008. I appreciate the strong support provided to me as Dean, and I am proud of the many accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff. A faculty search committee has been elected, with the intent to have the new Dean in place by September 2008.
