Need access to a computer? The Academic Skills Center computer lab, located in South Wing 320, offers 26 Dell pentium 4 personal computers and 1 Mac OS X. We are currently running Microsoft Office 2007 software, which includes Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. All of our personal computers also have algebra tutoring software, and two of them have Zoomtext, an accessibilty software program for people who have difficulty seeing. Students can walk in anytime during our hours and use the computers for word processing, e-mail, registering for classes through Banner, etc.The lab also offers free printing on a networked printer—although we ask that you bring your own paper.
Hours (academic year): Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (with some early evening hours)
Computer skills training is also available.The lab is staffed by a computer lab manager who can generally help you immediately with any brief questions you have. For more involved questions, we recommend making an appointment for tutoring in basic computer skills or registering for a Computer Skills Workshop.
