The Mathematics Competency Exam is offered through the Academic Skills Center, which also provides workshops and tutoring to prepare you for the test.
Test Preparation Assistance
Two workshops have been scheduled:
BEGINNING MATH WORKSHOP
Wednesday, March 1
3-4 p.m.
Bacon Hall, Room 115
This workshop will deal with order of operations, operations with rationals, solving equations, and exponents. All topics on the exam may not be covered in this session.
ADVANCED MATH WORKSHOP
Wednesday, March 8
3-4 p.m.
Bacon Hall 115
Prior knowledge of algebra is necessary for this session. A sample test will be given and each question briefly discussed.

Mathematics Competency Examination

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for this exam (Call 878-4041.). There is no fee. You must bring to the exam a valid photo identification and a sharpened #2 pencil. Calculators may not be used. This is a 30-minute exam that begins and ends promptly, so please arrive on time.
