ACADEMIC SUPPORT PROGRAMS

ACADEMIC ADVISEMENT CENTER

Did you know advisement evaluations completed by undecided students have indicated that being proactive is key to academic success and degree completion?  If you are an undecided student, meaning you are not sure of what major you’d like to declare, you will want to check out the links below in addition to the many links listed within the Advisement Center’s website.

The policy at the College is that you declare a major prior to the completion of 45 credit hours.  The Academic Advisement Center wants to assist you by giving you all the information you will need to facilitate making an educated decision on a major before that deadline!

Decision Making Skills and Techniques - a step-by-step process on how to resolve problems, conflicts, and/or resolutions.

Discovering More About Yourself and Careers - The DISCOVER  program identifies areas that would be of most interest to you!

Choosing a Major - Choosing a major(s) is a process.

If you know the major you want to declare and you have already satisfied the entrance requirements, you should declare that major as soon as possible for the benefit of being advised by the department for the upcoming semester.
