Activities Galore

If you live on campus or off, if you’re a freshman or transfer student, there are hundreds of ways to get involved and meet new people.

Events, Events, Events
Check the online events calendar throughout this first week for special activities such as movies, comedians or musical performers in the Campbell Student Union, tournaments in the USG (that’s United Students Government) Game Room, and food galore—almost all these activities are free. The Student Life Office offers Weeks of Welcome every fall to welcome incoming students.

What's Bengal Pause?
Spend some time in the Campbell Student Union during Bengal Pause (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:15 p.m.–1:30 p.m.). It's the time when the entire campus takes a collective break: only a few classes are scheduled and a variety of events and exhibits are set up to view while you take a breather.

Getting Involved
There are hundreds of clubs, Greek organizations, and more, vying for your attention. The Student Life Office is also a good resource for extracurricular activities.

Dodge Ball Anyone?
Is dodge ball, flag football, floor hockey, ultimate Frisbee, or weight training more your speed? Check out the Intercollegiate Athletic Department for intramural activities and leagues or come out and cheer on your team! They have some amazing athletic facilities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center—it's staffed by students, and a great place to get fit and have fun!

Accepted Students

Obstacles cannot crush me. Every obstacle yields to stern resolve. He who is fixed to a star does not change his mind.
