Buffalo State File Review
Our admission decisions are based on a variety of factors that may include strength of curriculum, record of academic achievement, standardized test scores, class rank, essays, and recommendations. Generally, students with averages of 85 or better, combined critical reading and math SAT scores of 1000 or higher and/or an ACT composite score of 22 are competitive.
The All College Honors Program is a challenging opportunity for outstanding, intellectually committed undergraduate students. To qualify, high school students must have a GPA of 90 or higher and have combined critical reading and math SAT scores of 1100 or higher. A supplemental application for the All College Honors Program is sent to those students who meet the above criteria.
Students deemed ineligible for admission to Buffalo State may be referred to the community college sector for their first year of undergraduate study. Those students are encouraged to transfer as sophomores after successful completion of full-time course work (at least four full-credit courses per semester) with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 for possible consideration.
