Authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students, we accept students who meet these requirements:
- Completed the equivalent of 12 years of elementary and secondary education
- Demonstrate the ability to pay all college costs (estimated at $30,300.00 USD annually)
- Provide evidence of proficiency in the English language. Buffalo State requires minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores of 61 (Internet-based test) and 500 (paper-based test). To request your official TOEFL score to be sent to Buffalo State, please use our code 2533 when completing the TOEFL registration materials. Students may also choose to use the International English Language Testing System(IELTS). Buffalo State requires a minimum band score of 5.5 on the IELTS exam.

The North Wing Residence Hall is a global living center dedicated to international students and other students interested in international studies and exchange programs. This residence hall provides special programs and facilities for its residents. Students may live here year-round.
