The core courses in the M.S. in Adult Education and the Certificates in Adult Education and Human Resource Development are designed to develop foundational skills for practitioners of adult education. The courses in the certificate programs provide a solid base for teaching and program development. Upon completion, each of the certificate programs can also be transferred into the M.S. degree.
Core courses in the M.S. degree prepare students with a broad array of skills in teaching, curriculum development, program administration, and research. Elective courses chosen in the student's area of specialization and in consultation with a faculty advisor allow for concentration in numerous areas of practice.
