What equipment and skills do you need to complete an online degree?
A computer: PC users should have no less than a Pentium II running Windows 98 or higher. Macintosh users should have at least a G3 with system 8 or higher. A minimum of 32 MB RAM is required.
Internet access: A stable Internet connection is necessary to avoid the frustration of being disconnected. A cable or DSL connection is preferred. If a dial-up connection is chosen, no less than a 56K modem is recommended.
Web browser: Internet Explorer browser 4.5 or higher is preferred. Netscape is not recommended. Please set your browser to accept cookies.
Word processing software: Documents should be written in Microsoft Word to avoid incompatibility problems.
Computer skills: There are several skills necessary for success as an online learner. For example, it is important to know how to send files. In addition, students need to be able to send and receive e-mail, download and open files, and perform basic word processing.
