A Ph.D. candidate at SUNY Buffalo in Anthropology, she started teaching at Buffalo State College in 2002 and has been teaching at colleges and universities since 1996. Her research interests include magic and religion, identity, gender and sexuality, cognition, online culture, and Celtic Iron Age culture. She has done fieldwork in England, Ireland, and the United States. Her current research focuses on modern Paganism, particularly Druidism.
