BUFFALO, NY—Fajri Ansari, a two-time New York State Federation Champion in the high school ranks, has been named the head men’s basketball coach at Buffalo State. The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its Commissioner's List and All-Academic Team today for the Spring 2005 semester, and 46 Buffalo State student-athletes have been recognized for their work in the classroom, including 19 on the Commissioner's List. [more…] 

Dr. James Mayrose, a lecturer in the Technology Department at Buffalo State College, will share the “Western New York Inventor of the Year” award with two of his colleagues for their invention of a glove-like device that allows physicians to measure the shape and hardness of a patient’s tissues. [more…] 

On Thursday, June 23, at 6:00 pm, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center and Delish!, an innovative new cooking school and pastry shop will team up to present “A Delish! Cooking Party.” This event hosted by Debbie Clark, Delish Inc. and Tom Saia, Iroquois Bar Corp. will allow participants roll up their sleeves, throw on an apron and get ready to have fun at Buffalo’s hottest new culinary experience, while supporting the Burchfield-Penney Art Center.  [more…]

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to announce that the museum has been awarded $5,000 from the J. Warren Perry and Charles Donal Perry Memorial Fund at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. The funds will be used for the digitization Charles E. Burchfield’s personal handwritten journals for access via the Internet. [more…]
