The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to announce that the John R. Oishei Foundation has committed $1 million to the Burchfield-Penney’s New Museum Project. The funds will be used to purchase equipment needed to present exhibitions and programs in the new building including specialized gallery lighting, audio/visuals for the 156-seat auditorium and sophisticated art and archives storage systems. The T6 Educational Technology Conference was held June 27 and June 28 at Erie 1 BOCES Education Campus in West Seneca, NY. The conference was organized by Buffalo State College in conjunction with Erie 1 BOCES and WNYRIC. T6, which stands for Transforming Teaching with Technology Tools for Today and Tomorrow, was very well attended with over 200 registrants of school administrators, teachers, and prospective teachers participating in the two-day conference. One educator traveled all the way from Taiwan to learn about the many of the most popular educational technologies and educational technology strategies being used in classrooms across the world. “A Silver and Gold Reunion”, honoring the classes of 1946, ’56, ’61, and ’66, is being held July 13-16, 2006. Alumni from these classes will be celebrating special anniversaries and enjoying a weekend of reuniting and great memories. The 50 Plus Club, Silas L.
