Mindy WoodSwimmer Mindy Wood (Rushville/Marcus Whitman) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The senior childhood education major was a triple winner against Brockport on Saturday, winning the 1,000 free (11:23.92), the 500 free (5:39.25) and the 400 individual medley (5:14.80). Buffalo State swept Brockport, clinching winning seasons for both the men’s and women’s teams in the same season for the first time in modern history. [more…]

Exercise your "Bengal Spirit", put on your running or walking shoes and gear up for the Buffalo State College Alumni Association's 10th Annual Bengal 5K Run and Fun Walk, to be held Saturday, March 24, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. on the Buffalo State College campus. Proceeds from this event benefit the Alumni Association's Legacy Scholarship Fund, a scholarship awarded annually to a deserving student who is a child or grandchild of a Buffalo State graduate. This year's Bengal 5K is also being held in memory of Dr. Carmine A. Grande, Race Founder and Vice President of Institutional Advancement and is part of a special series of events celebrating the 135th anniversary of Buffalo State College. [more…]

Donation of Ceramics Collection to be Celebrated with Exhibition at the Burchfield-Penney

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center and Buffalo State College are pleased to announce the donation of the Annette Cravens Modern Ceramics Collection. The gift is the most significant donation of national and international contemporary ceramics in the history of the college and the museum and will be celebrated with an exhibition of selections from the collection at the Burchfield-Penney. The exhibition, Selections from the Annette Cravens Modern Ceramics Collection, will be on view from January 19 – July 22, 2007. An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, January 19 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Burchfield-Penney, 3rd floor, Rockwell Hall, Buffalo State College. [more…]

Register Now for Buffalo State Softball Pitching Clinic

Buffalo State is still accepting applications for its annual softball pitching clinic. The clinic runs six-consecutive Sundays, beginning January 14 at the Buffalo State Sports Arena. Registration is open to girls ranging in skill level from beginner to advanced. Cost is $90. Registration deadline is Friday, January 5.
