Women's basketball player Toya Parks (Brooklyn/ MLK) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The senior guard had 12 points, four rebounds and four steals in the Bengals' only game of the week, a loss to visiting St. John Fisher. The business management major is leading the Bengals, averaging 17.0 points and 7.7 rebounds-per-game. [more…]

Women's hockey player Meghan Herald (Tonawanda/ Kenmore East) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The junior photography major led the Bengals to a three point ECAC West weekend with a win and a tie at Neumann. Herald registered her first collegiate points, tallying three goals and an assist. She scored twice in a 4-2 win on Saturday and had a goal and an assist in a 3-3 tie on Sunday. [more…]

Men's hockey player Jason Hill (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the week after registering three points on the SUNYAC weekend. The junior business major scored the only goal in a loss to No. 5-ranked Plattsburgh on Friday, and then had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 2-2 tie against Potsdam. Hill leads the Bengals with 11 points this season and is seventh in school history with 74 in his career. [more…]
