The Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium has released its Winter Season schedule, Jan. 25 - March 8, a sure remedy for the winter blahs. The ongoing program, Diamonds of Winter, provides a look at the winter skies. Through Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. there will be a special tribute to the lost crews of NASA's Apollo 1, Challenger and Columbia. Men's basketball player Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/ Xaverian) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week for the second-consecutive week. The senior forward became just 18th player in the 82-year history of Buffalo State's men's basketball program to surpass the 1,000-point plateau. Mozelle averaged 18.5 points and 14.0 rebounds in a loss to Oswego and a win at Morrisville over the weekend, bringing his career scoring total to 1,010 points. The individualized studies major is in the SUNYAC's top-10 in scoring, averaging 16.1 points, and is third in the league with 9.5 rebounds-per-contest. [more…]

The senior forward averaged 19.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in two road games over the weekend. Mozelle, majoring in individualized studies, had his 11 career double-double at Oneonta on Friday with 16 points and 13 boards, and tallied 22 and nine in an overtime loss at New Paltz on Saturday. Mozelle currently has 973 career points and is closing in on becoming just the 18th player in school history to surpass the 1,000-point plateau. [more…]

Anesetti, an earth sciences major, made 22 saves in Friday's 4-2 win over Adrian, and had 26 stops in a 1-1 tie on Saturday.
