Marc Broussard is a self-proclaimed "white boy singing soul music," but that playfully dismissive tag doesn't do him justice. His music radiates soulful Louisiana blues, but his songs blend those influences with raucous rock 'n' roll to create unique and infectious music. The Office of College and Community Partnerships and the Buffalo State College Alumni Association are collecting toiletry items for the Asarese Youth Center. The items will be placed in 2008 holiday bags and distributed to the 100 children who attend the center. Many of these youth live in poverty and often do not have items that we take for granted like shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, combs, soap, etc. [more…]
