Latoya D. Edwards

Track athlete Latoya D. Edwards (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. Edwards, a sophomore majoring in health and wellness, was a two-time All-American at the NCAA Outdoor Tack & Field Championships. She placed fourth in the 200-meter dash (25.03) and ran a leg of the fifth-place 4x100-meter relay (47.19). She also just missed All-America status in the 100-meter race, finishing ninth (12.11). [more…]

Track athlete Latoya D. Edwards (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. Edwards, a sophomore majoring in health and wellness, won the 100-meter dash at the ECAC Championships with an NCAA provisional time of 12.05 seconds, and ran a leg of the winning 4x100-meter relay, also with a provisional time of 47.89 seconds. [more…]

Softball player Jordan Banach (Cheektowaga/ Maryvale) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The senior shortstop hit .500 during the SUNYAC Championships, leading the Bengals to the title game, before falling 3-1 to Cortland. Banach, a fine arts major led the team with seven hits and had a double, a homerun and five RBIs. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team. [more…]
