Diaspora Drumming is a trio dedicated to studying, teaching, and performing percussion music of the African Diaspora. Members Ringo Brill, Tiffany Nicely, and Gabriel Gutierrez study with masters in various styles, traveling whenever possible to learn on the soil where the music was created. All are invited to "Chasing Dragons," a presentation on the ceramics and culture of China, by Chanda Glenndining, Friday, February 20, at 12:30p.m. in Upton Hall 128. Glenndining is a Buffalo State ceramics graduate who recently returned from the Far East. She was one of 13 students to receive a National Council on Education in Ceramic Arts (NCECA) scholarship to study in China.
