A water main break in the Buffalo State College Student Union Quad this morning (Wednesday, June 17) has cut off the water supply to the entire campus. Effective immediately, the college is closed. All afternoon and evening classes are canceled. Only essential personnel should remain on campus, while all other faculty and staff are excused for the remainder of the day. [more…]

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded a grant of $150,000 to fund a research project, “Nearshore and Offshore Lake Erie Nutrient Study.” Its purpose is to understand the movement of nutrients, especially phosphorus and nitrogen, between nearshore and offshore areas in Lake Erie’s eastern and central basins.
