Guidelines for Submission of Portfolios

Portfolio Review

As an applicant for admission to the art education program, you are required to submit a portfolio of your work. The portfolio can be in two formats:

A plastic slide page of your work in various mediums, both two and three dimensional. There should be a minimum of 12 slides and a maximum of 20. Each slide should be numbered, and a separate page (typewritten) should accompany the slides, listing title (if any), size, medium, and date. A self-addressed stamped envelope should be included for return of material.

This would consist of both slides and original flat work (i.e., drawings, prints, watercolors, etc.) that does not exceed 18 inches by 24 inches. Original work should be protected by plastic or paper covers. Slides should illustrate at least some three-dimensional work. All work, both originals and slides, should number at least 12 pieces and no more than 20, combined. A separate sheet (typewritten) should list the size, title, medium, and date of the numbered slides. A suitable, self-addressed package with proper postage should be included for return of work. Insurance, if any, is the responsibility of the applicant. The Art Education Department cannot be responsible for the cost of shipping.

Digital portfolios are welcome. Follow above guidelines and submit as JPEG files or as a Powerpoint presentation.
