Lucy Andrus’ professional experience includes 28 years in higher education, including 16 years concurrent elementary and high school level teaching in collaboration with college students through the Art Partners preservice program she founded for at risk urban children with special learning needs. Andrus’ theoretical interests and areas of specialization include social justice in art education, therapeutic art education, diversity training, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Her refereed publications and presentations are found at the international, national, and regional levels. Andrus is the recipient of awards and grants for her work in teaching scholarship, diversity education, and community service.
