Michelle Bae is Assistant Professor of Art Education at Buffalo State College (BSC). She taught K-12, undergraduate and graduate levels in visual arts education prior to her appointment at BSC. She earned her Ph.D from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her teaching and research interests include post-critical pedagogy, feminist and multicultural education, visual popular culture, new media and technology, and children and youth culture. Her research is published in scholarly journals and book chapters in both art education and women’s and gender studies. She is a recipient of the 2010-2011 SUNY Faculty Diversity and Educational Equity Program research award.
