Curator of Museum Learning and Community Engagement, Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College

Kathy Gaye Shiroki is the Curator of Museum Learning and Community Engagement at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Coordinator of the Czurles-Nelson Gallery, and a Lecturer in the Art Education department at Buffalo State College.  She earned her MFA from the University of California, San Diego and her BFA from Temple University, Tyler School of Art.  Kathy has been developing museum educational programming for over twenty years including the design of interactive spaces at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.  Her recent work has focused on how to have a conversation with a work of art and integrate the discussion into course curriculum.
