The 29th Annual Art Education Student Juried Exhibition
When: Saturday, April 5, through Thursday, April 24
Where: Upton Hall Gallery
Select no more than three of your works of art to submit. This is a professional opportunity to develop your exhibition record and your expertise as a visual artist.

Exhibition Dates
Thursday, April 3
Hand deliver artwork with attached labels outside Upton Gallery from 3:00-7:00 p.m. only.
Friday, April 4
Jurying and installation of exhibition
Saturday, April 5
Opening of exhibition to public
Tuesday, April 8
Works not accepted for the exhibit (notification sent out via Buffalo State e-mail) must be picked up outside Upton Gallery (follow signs) during Bengal Pause (12:15-1:30 p.m.) and from 4:00-6:00 p.m. After that date, please contact Kariann Armusewicz, AED Student Chapter President, to schedule an appointment to pick up work.
Thursday, April 24
Closing Reception, 7:00- 9:00 p.m. in Upton Hall Gallery
Final Artwork Pickup:
Works may be picked up following the reception on Thursday, April 24, after 9:00 p.m. Please check out your work at the desk for security purposes.
Works may also be picked up on Friday, April 25, 3:00-5:00 p.m. outside Upton Gallery. Any works not claimed on April 25 will be stored in Upton Hall 404. After that date, please contact Kariann Armusewicz, AED Student Chapter President, to schedule an appointment to pick up work.
Entry Rules
- All media is acceptable.
- All artists must be declared undergraduate or graduate art education majors.
- Entries must not have been previously exhibited in past NYSATA/NAEA exhibitions.
- All work must be completely original and entirely by the artist.
Specifications
- Artists may submit up to three entries.
- Each entry must not exceed eight feet in height.
- Each entry must weigh less than three hundred pounds.
- All works must be suitably framed and ready for hanging.
- Works on paper must be behind glass or plastic.
- White, off-white or neutral gray matting is preferred.
- Series of works seen as one artwork must be labeled as such on the entry card.
- All three-dimensional work must have a clean base surface.

- All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibition.
Entry Instructions
- Attach entry cards to the upper right back corner of each two-dimensional work and to the base of three-dimensional work.
- Each artist must include a one-page typed artist statement.
- Label, acceptance, and inventory cards must be filled out completely.
- Any entry that does not include all the above information will not be considered.
The artist is responsible for providing liability coverage for all works for judging, installation, storage, and exhibition. All possible care will be taken of the work. However, neither NYSATA, NAEA, the Student Chapter of NYSATA/NAEA, the Art Education Department, Upton Gallery, Arts and Humanities, Buffalo State, nor any other SUNY unit can accept responsibility for accidental loss or damage to works.
