Phyllis I. Thompson is a retired Assistant Professor and lecturer in the Art Education Department at Buffalo State. Dr. Thompson's teaching and professional experience include 17 years in higher education, 5 years as a middle school art teacher in Milwaukee, WI, and 5 years as a resident artist in Chicago Public Schools. Specific professional interests include service learning involving preservice teachers and other community interests. Dr. Thompson has publised in referred journals and presents at local, regional, and national conferences.
