Every October, the Buffalo State College community joins the nation and celebrates Arts and Humanities Month here on campus. Our annual, month-long celebration includes student and faculty musical performances, theatrical productions, poetry and dramatic readings, art exhibitions, panel discussions, lectures, demonstrations, and special exhibitions.
National Arts and Humanities Month grew out of National Arts Week, initiated in 1985 by the National Endowment for the Arts and Americans for the Arts. Evolving into a month-long activity in 1993, it is now the largest national celebration of the arts and humanities in America.
