Cross Country at Buffalo State enjoys a rich heritage as the Bengals participate in a number of challenging invitationals throughout the East. The teams annually host the Daniel Walker Memorial Invitational at Beaver Island State Park. Perhaps the largest college cross country meet in Western New York, more than 250 athletes from 12 to 15 schools regularly compete, including some of the top competition from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Southern Ontario, and New York. The season concludes in November with the SUNYAC Championships, the New York State Finals, and the NCAA Regionals.
Buffalo State's tradition of excellence in cross country includes six All-Americans, 16 All-State Performers, two SUNYAC Individual Champions, and three SUNYAC Team Championships.
