Softball player Jordan Banach (Cheektowaga/ Maryvale) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The senior shortstop hit .500 during the SUNYAC Championships, leading the Bengals to the title game, before falling 3-1 to Cortland. Banach, a fine arts major led the team with seven hits and had a double, a homerun and five RBIs. She was also named to the All-Tournament Team. [more…]

Buffalo State's men's soccer team ran a soccer clinic for the Genesee Lancers Soccer Club in Batavia last Sunday. Six Bengal players and Head Coach Rudy Pompert volunteered to host a skills session for approximately 80 boys and girls between 13 and 17 years old. [more…]

FREDONIA, NY—The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its Women’s Lacrosse All-Conference teams for the 2008 season and four Buffalo State student-athletes, the most ever in program history, were recognized. Katie Henderson (Lakeview/ Frontier) and Ashley Parker (Watertown/ Watertown) garnered First Team honors while Shantel Ackley (Baldwinsville/ C.W. ROCHESTER, NY—Mario Hicks (Corning/ Corning West) and Ray Peoples (Buffalo/ Cleveland Hill) were each a part of two of the Bengals’ five titles as Buffalo State competed at the NYSCTC Outdoor Track & Field Championships today at the University of Rochester.
