The History
Buffalo State's men's swimming and diving program has been competing on the intercollegiate level since 1935. It has won numerous SUNYAC Championships with nearly two dozen individuals garnering All-American honors. The women's program began competition in 1976, and has established eight new school records in the past four seasons.  The teams train and travel together, competing in approximately 10 meets per season, culminating with the league championships in February.

The on-campus Robert Kissinger Memorial Pool is home to the swimming and diving programs at Buffalo State. The six-lane pool is equipped with one and three-meter diving boards, a new sound system and a state-of-the-art timing system.

Buffalo State also strives to excel in the classroom. The men's team has been recognized by College Swim Coaches of America as an All-Academic team every semester since Fall of 2001.  Tthe women's team earned the honor for the first time in the Fall of 2003 and has since been a mainstay on the list.
