While strolling down Elmwood Avenue, one could take in an eyeful of countless treats and treasures belonging solely to this part of Buffalo.

There’s offbeat little shops like Myth and Magic; eclectic bars like Merlin’s; or simply the breathtaking beauty of the street’s 19th century architecture.

 

Buffalo State relives the Niagara Movement

The Niagara Movement has its beginnings in Buffalo- but not too many people   know about the civil rights movement.  Buffalo State College is trying to change that.

The centennial of the Niagara Movement is being commemorated with a lecture series put on by BSC and other local organizations.

 

Fresh crops over junk food and pop

Trade the orange finger stains of nacho chips with the bright orange of fresh carrots and see the difference it could make in a child’s life.  Now picture the healthy switch in public schools.  This is what the Massachusetts Avenue Project, MAP, is working on.
