The Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall re-opens with a bang

Buffalo State College welcomes world-class performers after sizable

Jazz musician David Sanborn will head off the series on March
18. Sanborn mixes a variety of styles, including R&B, jazz,
pop and rock. He joined greats such as Eric Clapton, Steve Glad,
Marcus Miller and Joe Sample on a European tour.

Gaelic Storm brings their high-energy Celtic music to BSC on April
22. Including a variety of musical instruments such as the Irish
Pipes, Gaelic Storm keeps “wowing” audiences. The
band has been featured in James Cameron’s “Titanic”
as the band in the steerage scene and on ESPN’s Cold Pizza.
Of their five released albums, four were in the Billboard Top
Ten. Their latest album, “How Are We Getting Home?”

Roger McGuinn returns to BSC for an evening of folk-rock presented
by WNED. Leaving the packed house wanting more in 2003, his return
is sure to be a hit. McGuinn combines a variety of styles to create
his unique signature sound. Songs such as “Mr. Tambourine
Man” and “Turn, Turn, Turn,” have been loved

Jazz sensation Chris Botti will appear at BSC on April 29. Botti
has worked with musical leaders such as Sting and Paul Simon and
was one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People in

Kathryn Haller, a junior at BSC said.
The Great Performers Series is sponsored by M&T Bank, WBFO
