Are you feeling sick?
Does your body feel weary?
Well, Elmwood Health Center has extended its evening hours to help accommodate patients and students from Buffalo State College who are in need of immediate attention.
“Students will be allowed to call the heath center and establish an appointment that is flexible with their schedule,” said Christina Sage, the center director.
Elmwood Health Center Hours

Monday and Wednesday, 8a.m.-5p.m.

Tuesday and Thursday, 8a.m.-8p.m.

Friday, 8a.m.-4:30p.m.
Elmwood Health Center specializes in meeting the needs of people with disabilities, but the center also accommodates people without disabilities. It also offers different rehabilitation techniques to care for their patients with developmental disorders.
Services provided
The health center also provides 24-hour sick services, which is open to anyone.
“There is a nurse who is on-call at all times even though the center is closed,” saidSage. “This would be a great opportunity to link with Weigel Health Center on Buff State campus.”
If that is the case, students will have the opportunity to make an appointment for the same day if they need immediate medical assistance.
“That would be a great opportunity for the students because sometimes Weigel Health Center doesn’t have appointments that are available in the evenings if we have a late class and we need to see a doctor that same day,” said Amber Sterns, a junior at Buff State.
“I personally thought that Elmwood Health Center was only for individuals with a disability,” said Sterns.
Elmwood Health Center accepts most major insurance and will arrange payment plans with patients if patients are unable to pay their balances right away.
