Fun with Winterim

By Tiffany Kellogg

The Winterim www.buffalostate.edu/offices/fast/winterim/ workshops change every year. This year’s subjects range from “Wine Tasting” to “The History of the Comic Book.”

A. Paul Reynolds, manager of training and consulting, said, “These workshops are all fun and educational with different classes added every year.”

Wine tasting will be held in the Campus House and history of the comic book in Butler 210.

“The complete list for this year is still being worked on.” Reynolds said. “The rest of the schedule should be announced by the end of this month.”

The workshops will run from 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m., Jan. 9 to 12, 2006 and are offered to all Buffalo State College students, faculty and staff.

“Winterim was originally designed to be professional development workshops for faculty and staff.” Reynolds said, “Over the years, “fun” sessions were added.”

The workshops are held throughout various rooms in the Butler Library www.buffalostate.edu/library/ and all over the campus www.buffalosate.edu/pdf/campusmap.pdf and offered through the Technology and Application Support Collaboration www.buffalostate.edu/library/tasc/.

The workshops are free, but some fees may apply for supplies needed.

Lydia Kawaler, technical support coordinator for human resources management said, “Paul has been collecting the information from each Winterim workshop every year to see what workshops people have liked and which ones they didn’t.”
