Much more than a color

In October, pink ribbons aren’t only for little girls they are for every woman because they represent the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women, according to the American Cancer Society

 

Podcasting

Podcasting www.buffalostate.edu/listentopodcasts.xml is a free process of downloading and delivering audio and visual material over the Web from pre-existing and pre-recorded sources to an iPod.  

For instance, Lou Rera, an assistant professor at Buffalo State College, said: “Podcasting is free because the makers of the products want their products seen and heard. It may cost money if you buy a program specifically to produce a podcast.”

 

Book exchange program debuts at Buffalo State

Books in the E.H. Butler Library have grown feet.   

The books are part of a program called the Paperback Release Program that was started on Sept. 15, and is located in the library’s Copier Lounge.

With an increase in student loan interest rates and tuition hikes, it is getting more difficult for students and their parents to afford a college education; so why are students taking longer than four years to graduate?
