“The health center was there for me when I needed some help about STD information,” said a junior student who asked that her name not be used.

Gina Thorne, a health educator from Weigel says: "We offer educational programs such as health promotion for on-and off-campus students.  We offer a program called Outreach which involves campus and community education presentations and workshops."

The Outreach program is basically a program that seeks to provide students with the information they need in order to make informed and responsible decisions about their health .

The weigel health center has a weekly column in the Record called Sex 101 which talks about sex awareness on campus and what students should look out for.   They also have a radio show called The SADE ( Sex, Alcohol, Drugs and everything else between ) Show that airs every Monday at 6 p.m.

The health center also offers students the ability to have their prescriptions picked up at the center itself.    Pharmacy services are available to Buffalo State students, faculty and staff.   "This makes it easier on the students,” says Thorne.
