SUB and USG are prepared for Spring Fest
By Ivory Miller

After months of preparation, the Student Union Board and United Students Government have a musical lineup ready for this year's Spring Fest.

The date of Spring Fest has been scheduled for Sunday, May 2nd, and will include performances from artists:

Performances from local groups and artists are also included in the lineup.

This year, Buffalo State College students will no longer be able to obtain a free ticket with their student college I.D. Students will be charged $5 for one ticket and the general public will be charged $25.

There are mixed feelings among the students about this charge.

“I feel that charging students a $5 admission fee to attend a campus activity is dumb and wrong,” stated junior Telemi Iluyomade. “Why do I as a student pay an activity fee?”

On the other hand, there are students such as junior Medegine Guillaume who feels that, “Five dollars is not a lot of money.”

Administrative Vice President of Student Affairs Michelle Curtis said that “There is a $5 charge because in the past students would get a free ticket and not attend, so this minimal charge is to ensure that students actually attend.”

Tickets are now available at the Rockwell Hall box office. For more information on Spring Fest or other upcoming events, visit the SUB Web site , the office in Cassety Hall, Room 202, or call 878-6728. Information can also be found at the USG Web site.
