Out with the old, in with the new; three and
a half years in the making, the Student Administration aid
Billing Registration and Enrollment management (SABRE) program
is near completion.
If all goes as planned, the SABRE program will offer current
Buffalo State College students and new students the option
to register for class, seek out availability of classes,
and check other personal information online.
“The SABRE Program will empower the students to look
at their personal information from the comfort of their
home computer, or anywhere in the world that has Internet
capabilities,” said Sharon Cramer, executive director
of SABRE.
The program will help bring Buffalo State’s registration
process up to speed with other SUNY schools that have been
offering online registration for several years.
“It would be nice to register online rather than sticking
a piece of paper through a wall and praying for the best,”
said Charles Lyons, a junior criminal justice major.
The program is set to be officially announced March 17th
at a time yet to be determined.
“I am 95 percent certain that SABRE will be up and
running, ready to use for summer (’03) and fall (’03)
registrations on the announcement day (March 17th),”
Dr. Cramer added.
