The Buffalo State College office of student
life is bringing back keynote speaker Paul Wesselmann to
for a one-day leadership seminar Feb 22nd, in Assembly Hall
at the Campbell Student Union Center.
Several learning sessions will be offered
by Wesselmann during the day with such topics as motivation,
creativity, diversity, leadership styles, delegation, public
speaking, meeting management, creating a vision, goal setting,
communication, etc.
“This seminar will help students identify
specific skills that they can apply to immediately improve
their leadership skills,” said Wesselmann. “It
could significantly impact their academic performance and
interpersonal skills if they are motivated.”
Paul Wesselmann has been doing these workshops
for six years now throughout the country. What began as
a graduate course assignment turned into self-employmwnt
in which he travels to 50 to 60 campuses each year to do
these workshops.
According to the Office of Student Life, The
workshop is designed to stress the key components of diversity
and professionalism that can give students leadership development
that they can apply for employment in professional fields.
“All students could benefit from this
workshop, although it is geared primarily toward students
who are currently holding or planning to hold a leadership
positions including organizational officers, resident assistants,
athletic team captains, student managers, and intramural
officers,” stated Wesselmann.
The conference is free to all Buffalo State
student but those interested in attending must register
