Student passes are back. Special Albright-Knox Art Gallery passes for Buffalo State College students are now available.
The normal admission fee for the gallery's permanent collection is $8 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. Those prices are per visit . With the special student pass, purchasers get an unlimited amount of visits through the end of the spring semester.
The passes are:
- Only for students that go to BSC
- Available at the Rockwell Hall Box Office between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Are valid through May 6
BSC Audience Services Manager Dawn Pustelnik sent out an e-mail to the student body alerting everyone of this deal. For one reason or another students didn't seem to know about this unique offer.
"This has been going on for years," said Director of Operations for the Performing Art Center Jeff Marsha.
Marsha wasn't sure how many years, but he said it has been re-offered for students every semester he has worked for BSC.
Elizabeth Ross, who works at the art gallery, is the person that BSC checks in with every semester to make sure the program is still going to be available.
"Essentially, it is a membership without mailings," said Ross.
That means you can go to the gallery an unlimited number of times , like a member. The only difference is you aren't notified of special offers and new exhibits.
Ross also said that anyone who would like a packet of the "exciting art and events going on at the gallery" could stop by the museum and pick one up.
Further information on the passes will be published when it becomes available.
