15th annual human service career fair

Over 20 organizations gathered at this year's human services job fair, recently at the University at Buffalo's Amherst campus.
“If you enjoy helping others, a career in human services maybe of interest, “said Dennis Zakerjewski of Crisis Services Inc . Crisis Services is a non- profit mental and human service agency.
The Niagara Frontier College Placement Association sponsored the event.
NFCPA is a non-profit organization that is comprised of several centers throughout Western New York colleges, to provide employment opportunities for students.
Employment opportunities available include:
- permanent
- part time
- internship
- summer
- volunteers
- temporary
According to the human service career network there are a variety of jobs in this field, which perform important functions in the community.
Some occupations include:
- social welfare worker
- home health assistant
- life skills trainer
- outreach specialist
“There are numerous career opportunities available in human services,” said Chuck Barber of the Heritage Center . The Heritage Center provides services to the developmentally disabled.
