What Campus House is
By Matt Eustace

One of Buffalo state college's five original buildings, it is a mystery to most students just exactly what and where Campus House is.

Located on Iroquois Drive, Campus House first served as home to Harry W. Rockwell, Harvey M. Rice and Paul G. Bulger and their families during each of their tenures as president at BSC , according to the school's Web site. In 2000, renovations to Campus House began to turn it into a hands-on teaching tool for students in the Hospitality and Tourism Department and the house also now doubles as a social club for staff and faculty who are members.

To become a member , a person must be a BSC faculty, staff alumni or “friend of the college” and fill out a membership application . Members must pay an initiation fee of $100, and also an annual fee of the same price.

At Campus House, members can have breakfast and lunch during serving hours of Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., including certain events that may have special entrees and serving hours.
