Abandon winter's chill and embrace a spirit warming display of fine art; all for one hot price. Student passes are now on sale to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery . A brief walk across Elmwood Avenue from Buffalo State College, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery offers an alternative to another boring day of hibernation.
Students can pay $6 (with Buffalo State College ID) and receive unlimited access to the gallery's permanent collection and library. Contributions that include:
- Max Beckman
- Romare Bearden
- Nikki Lee
- Anselm Kiefer
- David Hare
Regular daily admission is $8 for students, an expensive substitute. This pass allows students to come and go and only pay one price, one time. An offer that is exclusive to students.
Eric Loonan, admissions desk coordinator at the Albright-Knox claimed, If we offered staff and faculty passes it would be too far ranging in the people that would come. We try to cater more towards the students.
Faculty and students can both obtain free admission to the gallery on Fridays from 3 10 p.m.
The passes are on sale at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall Box Office. Or students can purchase the pass directly at the Albright-Knox.
Although the passes are not valid for special exhibits, including the ongoing Georgia O'Keeffe, Albright-Knox's world-renowned collection is anything but disappointing. The student pass is valid for an entire semester and expires on May 12, 2005 .
Psychology major Mike Calos purchased a student pass last semester: It's a great deal! Even if you only go once you're still saving money.
