Welcome
With a variety of master's and bachelor's degree programs in biology and biology education, and concentrations in aquatic biology and biotechnology, the Biology Department at Buffalo State prepares students to pursue exciting careers or graduate study.
For biology teachers and others interested in the advanced study of living organisms, Buffalo State offers diverse, comprehensive programs designed to foster in-depth knowledge as well as opportunities to conduct meaningful research, working with accomplished scholar-educators.
With hands-on teaching facilities like the Great Lakes Center, which maintains a field station on Lake Erie and a fleet of research vessels, a greenhouse, and an animal care facility, students work one-on-one with faculty and gain valuable real-world experience.
