Professional Background
John L. DeNisco received his MBA degree from Canisius College in 1979, with a concentration in marketing. Professor DeNisco has more than 15 years experience in management and marketing in the areas of retailing and outside sales. His particular skills include the training and development of sales personnel, along with training and implementation of microcomputers and software packages such as MS-Office Package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Windows.
He has been a faculty member since 1982, teaching courses in the area of marketing, sales, and computer applications. Professor DeNisco has implemented several training sessions on and off campus in both the private and public sectors. He has trained staff in such organizations as the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority, United Way of Erie County, and the Buffalo Psychiatric Center
Presently Professor DeNisco is a Sam Walton Fellow and co-adviser for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). He has served on numerous campus committees, co-chairing the Middle States Committee for the First-Year Experience. He has also served on the SUNY University Faculty Senate, chairing the Undergraduate Committee twice and received the President's Award for Service to the University and the Community in fall 2005.
