Drop Hammer Student Reading Series

Location: Ketchum Hall 320

Bring your friends and classmates to join the audience as some of Buffalo State's Writing Major students read their literary work for this very special event!

Ankobia Pageant (La Tribaux Couture) Tribal Couture

Time: 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Location: Campbell Student Union Social Hall

This pageant is hosted to celebrate the beauty of Africa and the African Diaspora, being Caribbean, African American, or people of African Descent. Contestants are given an African print fabric for their unity dance and introduction scene. The Ankobia Pageant is not just any other pageant but one that educates, informs, promotes, raises awareness, celebrates, and unifies the people of the African Diaspora. Winners are awarded handsomely and a dinner is organized for them to celebrate their hard work and dedication.

Drop Hammer 'Elm Leaves' Feature Reading

Time: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Location: Ketchum Hall 328

Join us as we celebrate the upcoming release of ELJ, Buffalo State's Literary Journal. This event will feature readings by authors whose work has been accepted for publication in ELJ. Its next issue, The Wild Edition is due out in December.
