Everett Glenn

Everett L. Glenn is CEO and President of Entertainment & Sports Plus, a Southern California-based athlete and entertainer management firm with offices in Atlanta, Philadelphia and Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Glenn is a member of the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Ohio. He is a NFL and NBA certified contract advisor and has represented over 30 professional athletes in contract negotiations and related business and personal matters including, but not limited to, Gill Byrd, Richard Dent, Willie Gault, Clark Kellogg, Jerry Rice and John L. Williams.

Karen Stanley Fleming

Karen Stanley Fleming is the Director of Urban Affairs for the City of Buffalo, New York, managing the grant process for 14 city departments. She has brought over $15 million dollars to the City of Buffalo in state and federal funding for housing rehabilitation, youth development, demolition programs, and parks development. Ms. Stanley Fleming’s educational background includes an MBA from Harvard University, an MS in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS from Vanderbilt University.

Mark Sterner

Just three months before graduation, Mark and four of his fraternity brothers headed to Spring Break. On the final night, they decided the least drunk would drive home. The next morning, three of the men were dead, and Mark lay in the hospital critically injured and facing three felony counts of DUI manslaughter. Mark leaves students with a real story that forces them to confront their own decisions and helps students realize that the simple choice they make, like drinking and driving, can cause an everlasting impact on their friends, families and themselves.

Honoring the theme of National Women's History Month 2010, Lynn Peril, author of College Girls: Bluestockings, Sex Kittens, and Co-eds, will speak about the history of women in higher education.

Music industry veteran and cable television executive Tom Calderone, a graduate of Buffalo State, is responsible for the leadership, strategy and management of the network that keeps viewers in touch with the music and pop culture they love through a wide variety of series, specials, live events and digital media. VH1, one of the strongest brands in cable television, now reaches over 90 million households.

Special Correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show, a contributor to CNN and National Geographic, and former co-host of ABC’s hit daytime talk show, The View. Lisa Ling uses her role as a journalist to focus on positive social change. She discusses her own career path in her explanation of how journalism plays an important role in the world around us, and how, as times continue to change, it can be a force for propelling the world forward in new and positive ways.  Free to BSC students with ticket, $5 for all others (general admission). Tickets available at Union and Rockwell Box Offices
